A wet weekend did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd for Muscle Up Performance products and services on display at the 15th-Annual GoodGuys Rod & Custom Southeast Nationals at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.
Rain on Friday and Saturday hardly registered with the thousands of car buffs who weaved their way through aisles of vendors ringed by more than 3,000 muscle cars, hot 
rods and classic cars. As usual, there were more cool cars than you could imagine according to Muscle Up owner Rich Bickle.
"They had some incredible cars there this year," said Bickle. "They looked great, even in the rain and wet. I just wish I would have been able to take more time away from our Muscle Up Performance display to walk around the show and see all of them."
Bickle stayed close to home discussing the finer points of Muscle Up Performance chassis and body fabrication.
"We didn't talk to as many people as we thought we would, but that was really a product of the weather," said Bickle. "Still, we got some good leads on new business and that, along with showing people your products and services, is what these shows are all about for us."
One of the items that got the most interest at the Muscle Up Performance exhibit was a 'split personality' 1935 Ford Pick Up. The display featured the truck's cab cut down the 
middle - one side little more than rusty junk ready for the crusher and the other ready to go to the body shop after three days of metal fabrication at Muscle Up Performance.
"Honestly, we try to feature and sell our chassis at these shows, but the '35 Ford 'fab cab' really drew more traffic this past weekend," said Bickle. "People wanted to know how we did it, how long it took, what kind of tools we used. A lot of people were impressed that we could turn something as bad as that truck into a solid piece again. It definitely turned some heads. We just kind of take it for granted because that's the kind of quality work we do at Muscle Up Performance every day."
