The largest car show to hit the state of Wisconsin this summer – the Goodguys 19^th-Annual Great Lakes Nationals – will be held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI this weekend and Muscle Up Performance will be right in the middle of it.

The show, which will feature more than 2,000 muscle cars, hot rods and classics, will be the place to be this Friday-Sunday, August 15-17, according to Muscle Up owner and former NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck Series driver Rich Bickle.

“If you are into cars, especially classic muscle cars and hot rods, this is going to be like being in a huge candy story,” stated Bickle. “This is easily the biggest and best show in the state this year. It’s going to be amazing.”

In addition to a wide variety of pre-1972 cars and trucks, this weekend’s Goodguys show will also feature hundreds of vendors showing off the latest in muscle car, hot rod and classic parts and ‘goodies.’

Included in that mix will be a Muscle Up Performance exhibit featuring the company’s new full-frame replacement chassis and suspension parts.

“We’ll have a couple examples of our full frame chassis replacements at the show this weekend,” Bickle stated. “These new bolt in chassis allow owners of first and second generation Camaros, 1964-72 GM A-Bodies, 1953-62 Corvettes, 1965-70 Mustangs, and several other cars and trucks the ability to get rid of the slow steering, poor handling and unsafe braking these cars all possessed when they were new. There’s just no comparison between a muscle car’s original handling characteristics and one that has been upgraded with a Muscle Up Performance frame and suspension package.”

In addition to the show cars and vendor exhibits, there will also be a swap meet and cars for sale corral to complete the show experience.

“If you need or want something for your muscle car, hot rod or truck, you’re going to be able to find it either new or used at this show,” said Bickle. “And, if you don’t have a car and you are looking for one – completely restored turnkey or something you want to work on as a project - you are going to find that as well. Like I said, this is the best show of the year and we’re looking forward to being a part of it all weekend.”

The Goodguys 19^th-Annual Great Lakes Nationals will get underway with a welcome party at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Madison Thursday evening. The show will officially open Friday morning at 8 a.m. and run through 5 p.m. that evening. Saturday’s show hours will be the same while Sunday’s final day activities are scheduled from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Admission for the event is just $13 for adults while children 7-12 will be admitted for only $6. Kid under 6 years old – and parking for the event – are free.
